We are family working together in our spare time to make things happen! My Father and myself are builders by trade and my brother (Will) who is a mechanic by trade, have joined our skills together to p

roduce quality pieces. Over time between my father and I we have collected a stack of native timber, such as Rimu and Kauri through work whilst doing renovations in the waikato and that plays a big part in where we are today. Weston Furniture and Design likes to pride itself on creating custom pieces, from recycling native timber and turning it into something new and cool. We produce quality craftsmanship and what started out as a hobby in the weekends, is now starting to take shape and with a goal in mind of becoming full-time. We provide an excellent service to our current customers and look forward to our future customers :)

This little hidden gem of a slab had abit of a glow up once the stain was applied! A couple top coats of marine grade varnish yet to be applied then time for install!

Can’t wait to see this as a functional bar top 😁🤟

Repaired 3 big structural beams some cowboy boat builder took upon himself to remove to get his boat out 😂 I’m impressed he managed to pull it off because it took quite abit of effort to undo his attempt at construction.

Also fun fact, double glazing makes a big improvement to the outside noise transferring inside 👌

My girlfriend had her first go at flipping some furniture we picked up from a garage sale.

What an awesome result ! This solid Oak low boy dresser turned out so good. Proud of her to achieve this on her own 😁

First day in the shed for the new year 🤟

I’m making a serving tray out of American ash for myself

What I’m doing here is cutting out a handle then sticking the template to a blank and using a flush trim router to copy the profile. That way you get an exact match. But sadly the way the grain was going it bit on the router and caused a sh*tload of tear out 🤦🏼‍♂️😑

Stay tuned for the new handle idea, looks more unique and less chance of error like above haha
