I’m going to call it The Potting Shed, but it’s probably more likely to serve up summer mojitos! 🍃

We tarted up our garage with a layback, bi-fold window that faces out under the elm tree and across the lawn. We love this elm tree, especially in the heat of summer, so this will be the perfect spot for a little bar to be set up.

I’ll pop a wide angle view of how this aligns with our house up in my stories, so you can see the fuller picture of how it’s all coming together 🏠❤️

Oooh, look it’s us! So impressed with the Central House Movers team today. It was looking like we might need to sacrifice a tree, until they stepped up and completely nailed it. In love with our new cottage and all its renovation potential 😍

Sometimes its all about the angles, having the right gear, people and knowledge to do the jobs. Have a mint weekend everyone!

We have been a bit quiet on Facebook, but those of you that know us, or who have been following our building & design journey on Instagram, will know we recently upped-sticks and moved from our new and very urban, home in central Palmerston North, to a beautiful, but ramshackle, 12 acres in the country.

I wanted to share with you some images of why we did that. We want to create a slower paced and beautiful lifestyle for our family and also, while we are at it, a stunning backdrop, venue & accommodation for your events and weddings. There’s lots to do, but we are up for the challenge and we have things well underway.

Mr Ralph is a wonderful lighting store, if you haven’t found them already, check them out. I love our master bedroom wall-lights for their sleek and classic design and best of all the switch is on the light itself, meaning I could forgo the clutter of an extra switch on the wall 🖤 - Becs
