We wish you a Happy New Year from the team at CUL. The trenching team has commenced the year with significant progress, securing another 33kV and 11kV project in Palmerston North with Scanpower and Powerco. This project involves approximately 2.6km of open trench excavation to lay a new tri-set for new power cabling enhancing the city's capacities. The project spans from the Tremaine Avenue hospital entrance to the main street Powerco substation.

Another tricky but successful drill shot completed for Downer NZ and Powerco. 2x seperate drill shots with 3x150mm and 2x40mm 33kv power ducts drilled. The shots were 100m in length up a 70% gradient. This project is part of the new link to the Turitea sub station also consisting of 1.8km of direct buried 33kv cables through farmland to be completed in summer

Latest project in Marton working for Powerco and Obertech installing new 33kv and 11kv ducting between Arahina sub and the Marton Sub station totalling approximately 3.5km of open cut trench and lay

Clarke Underground is actively looking for a qualified STMS to join our team.

This roll will include running day to day TMP set ups for our civil works in the Palmerston North / Manwatu region. Running your own traffic truck and crew from time to time along with maintaining our traffic truck and signage and daily site checks.

What’s needed for this roll?

Class 2 truck licence
STMS qualification with CAT A and B
Be able to pass a drug and alcahol test
Be reliable and self efficient under managment direction
Wide range of knowledge in the traffic managment sector
