The crew has been balancing multiple projects simultaneously—the true reality of the painting industry—and we have some incredible completions to share with you soon.

To kick things off, here is a stunning new build we wrapped up in Feilding last week. The winter sun finally made an appearance, and the team made the absolute most of it. ☀️

At Harris Decorating, setting the standard and passing on knowledge to the next generation is one of our highest priorities.

We don’t simply hand out opportunities to anyone who walks through the door. We carefully build a team that shares our commitment to excellence, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Together, we strive to operate above the current industry standard and help raise the bar for the future of the painting and decorating industry across New Zealand.

One of our core missions is to positively influence the industry nationwide, and we believe that starts with the next generation. The way apprentices are trained, mentored, and developed today will shape the quality and reputation of our trade tomorrow.

As a qualified painter and decorator, I believe giving back to the industry is a responsibility, not an option. Providing apprenticeship opportunities and investing in the growth of young tradespeople is a crucial step toward achieving our vision of a stronger, more professional industry for years to come.

McKenzie has recently joined Harris Decorating as she begins an exciting new career in the trade. At just 20 years old, she has already taken a big step by enrolling in her apprenticeship with

It’s not often you come across someone so motivated to enter the decorating industry, and we’re proud she chose Harris Decorating to start her journey.

Outside of work, McKenzie enjoys exploring scenic tracks around the region, getting out on new adventures, and spending time with friends (downing bottles of wine) .
