This is what “hidden damage” actually looks like.

When we opened this up, the damage was serious:
❌ Severe rot to structural framing
❌ Long-term water ingress
❌ Completely hidden from the outside
❌ Hanyman repairs with untreated timber masking the defects.

And this isn’t uncommon, this is still happening all over New Zealand…
Around 80,000 homes have been affected
Many still haven’t been properly remediated
Some have had failed repairs or cosmetic fixes only
⚠️ Here’s the reality:
A lot of homes, look fine from the outside, have no obvious leaks but have serious hidden damage inside the walls. As surveyors point out, some homes are so far gone that they require full demolition.

🔧 What we did on this project:

✔️ Removed all compromised timber
✔️ Rebuilt structurally sound
✔️ Installed a compliant cavity system
✔️ Reclad
✔️ Brought the home up to current code

🏡 The result:
A modern, clean finish — and more importantly, a weathertight, compliant home built to last.
