There’s nothing like the challenges of landscaping in the middle of winter but perseverance really pays off.
In another collaboration with Wearthy and New Shoots we have completed the construction of this ECE play space in Tauriko.
This was an existing site unoccupied for a while but was stripped back and revamped to ensure its environment reflected the quality New Shoots children’s centre’s are known for.

5.5 weeks straight, long hours and an incredible team have produced our latest ECE landscaping space. This was a fast paced project with high quality finishings creating a more natural environment for the children to enjoy. It certainly rates up there with projects I’ve been very proud to be a part of with such an amazing transformation in such a short time frame.
A special mention must go to my team of professional and dedicated builders who work tirelessly day in and day out to create this environment. Your work is truely appreciated, you guys are legends.
Also a big thanks to Tim and the Pakuranga centre. Amazing hospitality, endless coffees and dinners to help fuel the lads. We’re proud to be able to create this space for you all and hope it inspires the children’s creativity and play.
Keep an eye out for our next project, this one’s a lot closer to home.

I’ve never been one for constantly hitting social media with projects we have undertaken but after a 3-4 year hiatus, a steady growing of Facebook followers and workload, here we are.
We were privileged enough to be asked to partake in an exciting landscaping job up in Auckland, recreating an ECE playground, something that would inspire children’s learning while moving away from the conventional plastic playground aspects and bringing in more natural materials like kwila steeping blocks, log tangles and hinuera stone accents all while being supervised by over 100 children. The kids are now using their new space and the feedback from the kids, teachers and parents has been amazing.
A big thanks to all the crew who put in the long hours to create this space and the team in the background who had the insight to bring this concept to life.
Keep posted, there just might be more around the corner

More awesome clients and more awesome results! The best thing I like about renovations is the comparison between the original and the new and this project was no exception. These days the whole open plan living concept is something clients really want as a lot of older houses went against this way of design. With a good vision from the architect and clients we were able to create this light, spacious usable hub.

Over the last 5 years Construction2 Ltd has been lucky enough to have the amazing support of many locals, not just in the immediate Papamoa area but the wider community too. We have been thinking about ways to give back to the local businesses and citizens while steering our own business through these testing times of the Covid 19 pandemic. So for every hour we are on your project we will give you back $5, eg; a 10 hour day = $50.
This will be credited in vouchers of your choice for LOCAL eateries and shops so you can put back into the community, it’s a win win for everyone.

Always a slightly nervous time when you get asked to undertake bathroom renovations designed by the client as minor design flaws can become prominent in such a small space, but when they pull off their desired result they are very rewarding. 👏🏼 to these 3 clients. Come February we will be completing another bathroom renovation where we have been given free reign to design it our way. Pressures on us, watch this space.

The challenge of a re-clad is something I thrive on as there are so many unknowns as you peel layer after layer from the structure and the ever increasing processes and compliance meant it was a good job to test my knowledge and up skill on the new paperwork. So this project for some wonderful clients (who kept us well nourished through the build duration) was something I jumped on board with, without hesitation. The brief was simple, a low maintenance cladding product to match the ground level existing look. Stripping the old onduline cladding and wrap back it was a relief it had served its purpose of keeping the moisture out. With a double layer of new wrap and aluminium corrugated cladding it has ensured this dwelling will stay nice and dry for many more years as well as giving it a new modern look
