The Pavilion is a 3,000m² mass timber community facility at the heart of Pacific Lakes Village expertly constructed in partnership with C3 Construction.
Pope Electrical delivered the full electrical and communications package through a comprehensive value engineering process, incorporating a conventional cable management approach with an integrated solution coordinated directly with the exposed glulam and CLT structure. This ensured all electrical containment, penetrations, and services were architecturally aligned and visually refined within the mass timber environment.
To optimise programming, Pope Electrical commenced early site establishment, underground reticulation, and main service routes while running detailed procurement and coordination in parallel, with the excellent assistance of the JA Russell’s Tauranga branch across all areas. The project incorporates bespoke and internationally sourced electrical components — including specialist lighting systems, custom timber compatible fixtures, and long lead distribution equipment — requiring early identification, procurement, and sequencing to maintain momentum on site.
The result is a precise, highly coordinated electrical installation that demonstrates Pope Electricals capability to manage evolving design requirements, integrate with specialist structural and architectural systems, and deliver technically demanding projects through collaboration, proactive planning, and problem solving.
