How brilliant is this! We have a heap of knives to get sorted!

We are supporting another young entrepeneur.. Maxi sharp!

Get those blunt knives out of the draw, bring them into the shop with your name on them (paper bag is perfect) before 11th Sept 2026... Max will take them away, sharpen them and they'll be ready for pick up again 14th September.

$10.00 per knife, or 6 for $50.00 - All funds go straight to Max!

Especially you lot getting ready for fishing and hunting season.. save the frustration, let Max get you ready!

Chris is the CHRI part of CHRITAS. Chris is the reason we do what we do.

Did you know this bloke is a competitive wood chopper and has been handling an axe since he was 15. He has even represented NZ!

He got a trade as a fitter turner but chopping down trees, slicing them up and planting them makes him happier, so a few years ago he quit his day job.

Now he gets to indulge his passion while at work!

I'm nestled up in front of the fire, burning our locally harvested wood, enjoying the flowers from our garden (inspired by Emalitza Holdaway) in my lovely Harriett Armstrong vase, sitting on a kanuka table from my parents' farm, milled and turned by a local Wairoa builder.

I'm thinking about how much time and effort all these people have put into what they do and how, if and when we can support them, what a difference it can make to them and their families. When possible, please support local.

As hard working, good people, we want to help the Waiuku community as much as possible.

❄️It's been a cold winter and lots of people have been humming through their wood, which is understandable, however...

We're running short of dry firewood (and refuse to sell you wet wood in winter) so we've decided to limit customers to one cube each so that we can help more of you and keep more of you warm!

Please get in touch if you need some and we'll help you out if we can.

It's also not to early to book your wood for next year! We will sell you unseasoned wood in the summer. Costs you less as we don't have to double handle and it'll dry in your shed.
