A complete transformation from overgrown to well-presented.

This property had become heavily overgrown, with w**ds, invasive vines, and excessive vegetation taking over the garden beds. We removed a number of trees to open up the space, allowing more natural light to reach the garden and creating a much brighter, more inviting outdoor area.

Once the site was cleared, we gave the remaining trees and plants a thorough trim to restore shape and improve the overall appearance of the landscape. We then installed simple, tidy timber garden edging where needed to redefine the garden beds, laid w**d membrane throughout, and finished everything with fresh black mulch to provide extra w**d protection and a clean, low-maintenance finish.

The result is a garden that feels more open, organised, and functional while significantly enhancing the overall presentation of the property. It's always rewarding to see the difference that careful planning, attention to detail, and a bit of hard work can make.

Some Recent Wood Works from Rothsays Garden Landscaping

There’s something satisfying about turning a blank, underused space into something that actually feels like part of the home.

These two recent projects are a perfect example of that.

One backyard started as a simple fence line with no real structure — now it’s framed with custom stepped raised garden beds, giving the space depth, flow, and a place for planting to really come alive.
Over time, those plants will fill in and soften everything, turning it into a lush, private backdrop.

The other was a narrow, forgotten side yard… the kind of space people walk past without thinking twice.
Now it’s a clean, modern walkway with a warm underfoot and a stylish custom planter box running the length of the fence — finished with white chip and structured planting to keep it sharp, low-maintenance, and easy on the eye.

Two very different spaces, but the same goal — make it feel intentional, usable, and built to last.

Another Garden Restoration Complete - When we first saw this garden, it had become overgrown and hard to manage, and the clients were feeling stuck with a space they no longer enjoyed. What was once meant to be a relaxing part of their home had turned into something stressful and overwhelming.

We began in the back garden with a full clear-out, removing unwanted growth and opening the area back up. From there, we reshaped the garden bed , improved the soil, and replanted with a mix of fresh, low-maintenance plants chosen to bring structure and balance back into the space.

We created a timber Herb/Veg garden in the side garden so they could plant there own herbs and vegetables, and planted some low maintenance shrubs.

Now, instead of feeling out of control, the garden feels tidy, lighter and welcoming again — a space the clients can actually enjoy spending time in.
