Wow, I'm impressed with the quality and strength of these units, especially given the price (on Mighty Ape, see links below). The only issues were slight damage to a part that doesn't get seen anyway, they could do with being better packaged for transport (it came like it obviously, I take care with the products!), and there were 2 missing screws for the door handles in one of the wardrobe units, easily replaced when you hire a pro ;) (I carry spares for most things flatpack).

They take a little longer to assemble than some wardrobes, but so worth it: Sturdy, look good and great finish, same for the chest of drawers, only they were a little faster to assemble, about the same as a normal set even though they looked a little over-complicated to start with. I guess not having handles helped ;)

Assembled this nice and rather handy "Gas Lift Storage Bed" from Victors Choice recently. The Build went well, easy enough, only tricky part was aligning the hinges so that the bed lifted and lowered correctly, not so easy without the mattress on it for weight. The pack had the central leg missing which was a pain, but a phonecall to their support number and it was sorted.

Good finish quality, easy to use, and they even thought to include a velcroed on fabric sheet under the bed in the storage area, nice touch.

Assembled this really nice tallboy for a lovely young lady in Massey. The finish was excellent, I couldn't believe how good the panels looked considering the bashing the packaging had taken over time (pics), good solid material and veneer, and it had been sitting around for a while: The company that manufactured and sold these went out of business in March last year (2021), which was a real shame, as the products were/are really good. The company: Nido. They would have been the new, and possibly better Ikea judging by the quality.

The finished product is just great, I would love to own something like this. It looks great, has good storage space, and the drawers operate really nicely, very smooth.

Takeaway: If you see Nido products come up on TradeMe or FB Marketplace, grab them, they are good. Just remember if it comes flat packed, give me a holla!

Nice build: Good quality, nice finish, all parts present and correct. The result is really nice, it's pleasure to build products like this.

Wow, one of today's jobs was quite the mission, but pretty rewarding when you see the final result.

This is a TreasureBox dressing table. I don't think I can honestly recommend these to people, they do look good from this distance, but the finish quality wasn't really great. It was marked from out the box, even though it was packaged well, and the drawers, no matter how much jigging you do, do not seem to run that smoothly. It's a good job I know my trade too, as the instructions left out a part, luckily I caught it. Also, the fitting of the sliding mirror, although a nice feature is not as easy as the manual makes out, in fact, it won't work at all if you follow the predrilled holes, luckily again as I'm good at this, I sussed it and the end result was way better than it could or would have been otherwise!

So if you're planning on getting some flat-pack or kit-set furniture, and want the job done right, you know who to call ;)

Nice job the other day, putting together these nice bar stools for a lovely lady in Onehunga. The fabric felt so soft and comfortable if I didn't already have bar stools at my 'breakfast bar' I would probably get some myself!
