Chinnery Construction is looking for a reliable and experienced Class 5 Driver to join our team on a casual, as-needed basis. This role is ideal for someone who holds a Class 5 licence and is looking for flexible work without the commitment of full-time hours. You’ll help cover driving requirements when needed, supporting our crews and projects across Canterbury.

⭐ Key Responsibilities:
- Transport machinery, materials, and equipment between job sites as required
- Carry out deliveries and collections safely and efficiently
- Complete vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are kept in good working condition
- Follow all road safety and Health & Safety procedures
- Communicate with the team to ensure jobs run smoothly and on schedule

⭐ What We’re Looking For:
- Current Class 5 driver licence
- Previous truck driving experience
- Civil construction or transport industry experience preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with availability
- Strong focus on safety and vehicle care
- Able to work independently and as part of a team

⭐ The Role:
- Casual hours as required
- Flexible work to suit someone who doesn’t need full-time hours
- Work with a local civil construction team across Canterbury

Another subdivision underway in Ashley 🚧

Big rain events can create big problems!

Our team is currently working on a river diversion as part of urgent slip stabilisation works, helping protect a nearby rail corridor from damage and potential collapse.

A challenging job with a pretty important outcome - keeping critical infrastructure safe while the river is redirected around the affected area.

Plenty of machinery, plenty of water, and a job that needs to be done right 💪

Our crew is making good progress installing new water infrastructure that will help support the areas growing demand.

While most were sleeping, our crew was hard at work on the West Coast 🌙🚧

Weekend night works saw new culverts and headwalls installed beneath the rail tracks, delivering another important infrastructure upgrade. Great effort by the team to get it done safely and efficiently alongside Isaac Construction

Last Monday, we reached another significant milestone with the installation of the Stormwater Treatment Chamber.
