Last week I went for a peaceful walk through one of Marlborough’s parks to clear the head and reflect on 2025 🌿
It’s a good reminder of just how beautiful our own backyard really is.

🌿 Living Wall Progress Update! 🌿

Stopped by a client’s place today and grabbed some photos — the landscape is looking awesome, and the living wall we designed is really starting to fill out!

Their view was originally just a big white wall from the neighbouring two-storey home, so we created a green solution: six vertical structures planted with a mix of climbers including Parsonsia heterophylla, Tecomanthe speciosa, and Clematis foetida. As they grow, that blank wall will transform into a lush, natural backdrop.

🌿 Dropped in on a past client’s place today — popped in for a quick check, and wow… the transformation absolutely blew me away! 🌿

This landscape was designed in 2024, and the clients decided to take on all the work themselves. They followed the plan beautifully and added their own creative touches — including introducing standard rose plants and transforming their garden shed into a combined garden + wood shed.

And that pergola outside the kitchen window… once the Star Jasmine (Trachelospermum jasminoides) takes off, it’s going to look incredible.

It’s awesome seeing how a well-planned design grows into the space and becomes something truly personal.

I popped back to a client’s property today — a landscape I designed and was completed in 2023 by Turfscape Marlborough, with the Flexiroof installed by MES.

The NZ native planting has really taken off, and it’s awesome to see how well everything has grown in just a year. The space now looks settled, natural, and exactly how we envisioned it.
It’s always a good feeling seeing a design come to life and thrive 🌱
