2023 Waipu, Whangarei.
Rib raft house slab.
This was a standard, no colour finish, 320mm concrete slab.
A slightly tricky shape, a few bathroom recesses, joinery rebates, a few chs post pads. Nothing too difficult for us. All went well and the client was happy with our work.

2023 Waipu, Whangarei.
Metal accessway, Silt fence, Site cut, Profiles, Building platform.
This site was high up on a hill with sea views, there had previously been forestry on the site so unfortunatly in the building platform we found some organic material which required extra excavation to remove then extra gap 40 metal compacted in layers to achieve a consistently solid building platform. We got the Geotech inspection pass on our work and the site was ready for slab construction.

2023 Oratia, Waitakere.
Accessway, Silt fence, Diversion bund, Site cut, Profiles, Timber pile foundations.
This job was going great through the earthworks stage, then the rain came mid foundations construction and did not stop. We had to continue working in the weather as the pile holes had already been drilled. It was a muddy weeks work requiring the sump pump and taking shelter while a lighting storm passed by. The Geotech and structural engineer gave us sign off to pour the concrete, all holes were structurally stable and clear of any water and silt. Again we finished this job to spec and on schedule. (We came back a few weeks later once the site dried out and tidied up the boot prints out of the building platform cut with a small excavator and hand tools)

2023 Lake Tarawera, Rotorua.
Accessway, Silt fence, Site cut, Raft foundation, Profiles, Deck pile timber foundations, Rib raft slab, Patio slabs and plinths, Topsoil spread.
This job was on a really nice lake side site, We had great weather throughout the construction process. We removed about 70 trucks of spoil and brought in similar amounts of metal, we had 3 trucks running and the digger loading out non stop for a week. All the compaction went really well and the Geotech engineer was very happy with our work. We then got offered the Slab contract to come back to complete.

2023 Kaukapakapa, Rodney.
Footings, Block wall, Waterproofing, Drainage, Pool foundations.
We took over this job from another company part way through at the preference of the homeowner. We had to check then correct the profiles. All the bulk excavation had already been done so the site was weatherproofed and the light rain didnt slow us down. All steel and concrete went in nicely, blockwork laser straight, all inspections passed, Job completed on schedule, another happy client.

2023 Martinborough, Wairarapa.
Accessway, Silt fence, Profiles, Site cut, Footings, Block wall, Timber pile foundations.
This building site was in amongst a vineyard. The architect had mismatched the topographical survey to the plans which resulted in a 500mm earthworks discrepency. We picked this up pretty quickly, this is one of the bonuses of us doing profiles and earthworks, we are thinking about the build heights and lines from the get go and we catch out any architectural issues before it is a problem. Once underway the earthworks went really smoothly. We got hit with some torrential rain while doing the footings, we had lined the excavation with polythene so this wasnt bad but it meant we had to pump water out before pouring the concrete. We ended up with a tidy finished job and still kept our schedule after putting in some long days work.

2023 Waikanae, Kapiti coast.
Silt fence, Vehicle crossing, Accessway, Site cut, Retaining walls, Profiles, Foundation raft, Form work, Timber pile foundations.
This job was tricky as it was close to the beach and the earthworks were all in sand and the water table was pretty high. When drilling the deep retaining pile holes we had to sleeve them while drilling so the holes did not collapse. We found an old rusty unidentified item during excavation and had to be careful as there had previously been old war bombs found on this coast, it ended up just being a very old rusty gas bottle. The job went very well, we finished up just as heavy rain and severe gusts hit the coast, another job finished on schedule all inspections passed no worries.

2023 Dairy flat, Rodney.
Metal accessway, Silt fence, Site cut, Profiles, Timber retaining wall, Pile foundations.
This job went really well, good weather, all work completed on schedule. The architectural plans, topographical survey, and ground onsite did not match up, but this was not a huge issue, this often occurs, so we have the experience to navigate this without long construction delays. We grid surveyed the site and sent it through to the architect to get confirmation of our plan, he made some minor adjustments to the retaining wall table and everything was fine.

2023 Matakana, Rodney.
Silt fence, Accessway, Site cut, Counterfeit drain, Swale drains, Profiles, Timber pile foundations, Shaping and Topsoil spreading.
This sloped rural site had multiple overland flow paths and as we dug we found underground springs that had not been identified by the Geotech engineers. We had the engineer design additional drainage features to protect the pile foundations and driveway. Luckily we kept the earthworks weatherproofed with silt fencing, diversion bunds and swale drains, we got hit with two cyclones during this job and a lot of water was flowing down from the hills.

2022 Beach haven, North shore.
Driveway demolition, Retaining walls, New driveway metal, Create level lower garden area.
We cut the old concrete driveway up into a grid with concrete saws then removed with the small excavator since the driveway access was limited (height and width). We had 5 different retaining wall sections to do and one included bridging to avoid a public sewer pipe. The job took us 7 days and it all went really well. The clients were very nice and often came out with home baking and cold drinks.
