The final day is here and Mark has started with a beautiful split. The ground is like concrete so its quite the achievement

Day 1 complete. And it was a challenge. We had to remove straw from the plot in over 30°, it took over an hour and we were shattered by start time when temp crept well over 30. The tram lines and soil types varied dramatically between plots. There was 20 extra minutes and smaller plots and nearly every second was used. A tough day at the office with some pleasing aspects and some disappointing.

As the day closes here with the raising of the flag at the official opening, we begin to think ahead to tomorrow. We will use all the knowledge gained and work as hard as we can to get the results we came for. A special thanks to some key supporters who helped get us here, Icon logistics - part of the Dynes Group, who stored and lifted our container for its failed shipping. We had a sweltering day practicing in near 40° again today, the ground gets harder by the day. The car got to 50° at the end of the plot. A big shout out to another awesome sponsor CEAT Specialty Tyres Australia & New Zealand. My tractor has Ceats all around and its interesting to see how many tractors competing also run Ceats as their first choice. We run them on our utes, trucks and trailers, and our big tractors, they have great tyres and spec really well.
