Last week our Cashmere Estates team took delivery of pipe on site – another solid step forward as we keep services rolling out across the development.

Great coordination between transport and site crew to get it unloaded safely and efficiently. Big gear, big loads, and plenty of progress being made. 💪

Current Project Update 💧 | South Brighton, Christchurch NZ

We’re also well underway on the South Brighton wastewater rising main and water supply upgrade, contracted directly to Christchurch City Council.

This project includes approximately 1,000 m of 250 mm water main and 850 m of 160 mm wastewater rising main, being installed using Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD). Trenchless construction allows critical services to be installed with minimal surface disruption, protecting the estuary environment, maintaining access along Estuary Road, and significantly reducing reinstatement impacts compared to open trench methods.

HDD also improves safety, efficiency, and programme certainty — delivering long-term network resilience while keeping communities moving.

our civil teams are also getting it done completing 1,300 m of sub-main trenching, with the project currently approximately 50% complete.

If you love working outdoors, enjoy operating serious machinery, and want to be part of a tight-knit crew delivering essential infrastructure across Canterbury, this is for you.

🔧 About the Role
We’re looking for someone who can confidently operate our modern hydro excavation units to support:
• Potholing & service location
• Trenching & slot trenching
• General hydro excavation
• Project support for civil, utilities, and trenchless works
You’ll work alongside our experienced team on a wide range of projects — every day is different.

👷 What We’re Looking For
• Experience operating hydro vac / sucker trucks (preferred)
• Class 4 license required (Class 5 a bonus)
• Strong awareness of safety & site protocols
• Good work ethic and positive attitude
• Able to work independently and as part of a crew
