Welcome to Village Earthworks, a local Rongotea business, nestled in the mighty Manawatu, specialising in all manner of residential earthworks. Nick has always had a passion for machinery and playing in the dirt. In 2016 he started out doing excavation jobs on a part time basis which has now grown into a full-time profession.

Village Earthworks has suite of small-scale earth moving equipment allowing for a wide range of different tasks to be completed with a professional finish. We can arrive at your site with a 6 ton tip truck and tip trailer carrying both, a track loader and an excavator small enough to fit through a 1 meter gap, but large enough to get the job done efficiently. Where required a small tracked dump truck is available along with a 1 ton roller and of course, the know how and can do to get the result you are wishing for. Complimentary equipment available is a tractor mounted wood chipper (suitable for wood up to 90mm diameter) and the star of the attachment range, the Harley Rake. The Harley Rake is the perfect tool for conditioning soil and preparing a lawn seed bed. It can remove stones, roots, old building materials and basically any foreign material that doesn’t belong on a lawn. Continuing on from last week’s post (with that gorgeous steel garden edge!) is the practical side of the job. This project required 160m of drainage installed, with the area then returned to its original contour. Once this lawn grows it will be an absolute picture!

How stunning is this garden edging..??!!
We were delighted with how the creation of this garden area turned out. Our team manufactured the steel edging and set it in place with a concrete mowing strip. Completing the entrance with stamped concrete.
