From muddy ruts to a clean, solid driveway!

This property received a complete driveway makeover, creating a much more practical and usable entrance with improved access, drainage, and a fresh new look. 👌

Seasonal Fixed-Term Full-Time Landscaper | Rotorua

Keen to work outdoors, get your hands dirty, and actually build something you can be proud of? Lakes Consultancy is on the lookout for a hard-working newcomer to join our landscaping crew this season.

No experience? No worries. We're not after a finished product — we're after someone with the right attitude who wants to learn the trade from the ground up.

What you'll be doing: 🔨 Working alongside experienced crew on commercial landscaping and civil projects 🌿 Getting hands-on with planting, edging, surfacing, and site work 🚜 Learning how to use tools and equipment the right way 🤝 Becoming part of a crew that's got each other's backs

What we're after: ✅ A hard case who's not afraid of hard work ✅ A team player who pulls their weight ✅ Keen to learn and open to feedback ✅ Someone who stays positive even when it's raining sideways ✅ A good laugh — we work hard, but we don't take ourselves too seriously

Ben was a bit of a menace at school… so this one felt full circle 😅

Last week he volunteered at a careers expo out at the awesome DOC & MPI facility in the Redwoods, Rotorua 🌲

Instead of quoting jobs, he spent the day chatting with young people and job seekers about getting into landscaping, construction, and outdoor work — from fencing and decking to concrete and digger work.

We know this industry isn’t always the “obvious” path… but it’s a bloody good one.

Early starts, hard work, muddy boots — but you get to build real things, work outdoors, and be part of a solid crew.

If we can help even a few people find their direction (especially the ones who don’t fit the mould 😉) — that’s a win for us, and a step toward something better.

We’re proud to support the next generation across Waikato & Bay of Plenty 👊
