🖤 Not all heat pumps have to be white!

How good does this look?

Our team recently installed this stunning Mitsubishi Electric in NZ LN Black Diamond Series heat pump, finished in black.

We think it looks fantastic against the natural pine plywood wall with its negative-detail finish.

A great example of how the right heat pump can complement a room's design rather than just blend into the background.

❄️🔥 Style meets year-round comfort.

If you're considering a new heat pump, talk to the team at Temprite Rotorua about the options available.

⏰ Daylight Saving is here this weekend!

The clocks go forward one hour this Sunday, and there’s one clock that’s easy to forget… your heat pump remote! 😅

If you use the timer functions on your heat pump, having the correct time set on your remote is important.

We’ve put together this quick video showing you how to move the clock forward one hour. 👇

Simple job, but one less thing to wonder about when your heat pump starts turning on at the wrong time!

And remember: spring forward, fall back. 🌱⏰

😳 What’s hiding inside your heat pump?

Yep… that’s mould. 🤢

These photos show the before and after of a professional heat pump deep clean carried out by the Temprite team.

Even if you regularly clean your filters, dust, moisture and grime can build up deeper inside the indoor unit, creating conditions where mould can develop on internal surfaces.

And the worst part? You often won’t know it’s there just by looking at the outside of your heat pump.

A professional deep clean gets into the areas that a normal filter clean simply can’t reach. 🧼✨

If your heat pump has been running for a few years and has never had a deep clean, what could be hiding inside yours? 👀

🔥 WHEN DID YOU LAST CLEAN YOUR HEAT PUMP FILTERS? 🔥

We’ve had some absolute beauties this week… and these might take the prize! 😳😂

If your filters look anything like these, your heat pump is basically trying to breathe through a blanket.

Blocked filters mean:
• Less airflow and poorer heating performance
• Your heat pump has to work harder
• Higher power consumption
• More dust and dirt building up inside the unit

The good news? Cleaning them is easy. 👍
Take the filters out, vacuum them or give them a wash, let them dry completely, then pop them back in.

👉 We recommend checking your filters regularly — especially when your heat pump is getting plenty of use through a Rotorua winter.

And remember, cleaning your filters doesn't replace a proper heat pump service. If yours is due, give the team at Temprite Rotorua a call.

Now be honest… when did you last check yours? 👀

Downed tools early last Thursday and casually “disappeared” to the Kaituna for a cheeky hit of whitewater 😄🌊

Massive shoutout to Sam & the team at Rotorua Rafting for hosting us — unreal crew, epic run, and a couple of totally unexpected swims to keep things spicy 🏊‍♂️😂

10/10 would raft again.

Another one up and running! 🙌
Today we test-ran a new Mitsubishi Electric in NZ ducted air conditioning system with 8-Zone AirTouch control.
