Same values, different tools.

Turns out the best builders can make the best hosts too - and it clearly runs in the family! We had our midyear get-together at The Matakana Village Pub and we couldn't recommend it more.

Cam has been a childhood friend of Ollie and spent many years in the building game before swapping tools for taps alongside his wife, Georgia. While Georgia's been the driving force behind The Matakana Village Pub, it was cool to see Cam bring the same energy we've always known to this new chapter.

It's a good reminder of the things that actually matter - showing up properly, sweating the details and genuinely caring that people have a great experience! Whether you're framing a house or pulling a pint, that good stuff needs to be there and Georgia and Cam have got it running through them in spades!

Not here to rinse and repeat. We’re chasing innovation wherever we can find it.

Look, we know there’s nothing new about off-site framing, and yeah, we’ve been humbled by a few learnings along the way. But what is new is that we’re doing it ourselves - fast, accurate and with a few extra stages complete. Same crew, under the same roof, start to finish. And our clients and team are already feeling the difference.

We still have some incredible large-scale projects on the books, and that is not changing. We’re simply making it known that the door’s opened a little wider, for homeowners who appreciate the details and craft it takes to achieve considered spaces at any scale.

Tuck Construction ~

When we formed the company back in 2013, Oliver Tuck Construction was just a name picked sitting in the accountant’s office, with honestly not a lot of thought behind it.

More recently, I’ve learnt a lot about the importance of branding, and what it means to show our clients and partners who we actually are. So, we’ve been quietly working on this rebrand behind the scenes.

Yes, it’s an easy and convenient segue from Oliver Tuck Construction to Tuck Construction. But it also fits for a bigger reason — as a verb, “tuck” speaks directly to the attention to detail we’re known for. It’s also the word behind an intentional shift for us: as we widen the range of projects we take on, while keeping the same level care for every home. Dropping my first name also gives the people who’ve equally earned the reputation that we’ve built together more ownership of the brand.

I’m still here. With the same epic team. Just a fresh, new chapter for the team that delivers the goods 🔥
