🚨 EAL Season Update 🚨
It’s 26 days until 2024, we have silage in full swing and straw on the horizon for late Janurary. So far, the season has been rather stop go, 2 seasons in one day kind of weather. Momentum has been difficult to get going, but the team are doing very well. An unusual weather pattern, global warming may prove to be a very interesting experience. El Nino certainly showing its presence!
But our field teams this season are doing very well. Four of the crew hopping off the plane from the UK in October, all slotting in to the team superbly and making themselves at home here in the community. Some sporting some very interesting haircuts 👀. In October we all headed along to the Ellesmere A&P Show, in November we sponsored the Hororata Highland games, and had a site at the Courtenay A&P Show.
The team have been working far and wide, from Woodstock, to Hororata, to Te Pirita, down to Dunsandel, out in Sedgemere and back around to Southbridge.
📣 If there was one tip from Tim and the team it would be “keep a close watch on the growth stages of the cereal silage as we approach Christmas, it’s very important, and if you aren’t sure please get in touch!”.
We’re very happy with the machinery side of the business, everything has been operating to expectations. The two new Hino trucks are proving to be a great investment, and the new sign writing from Sign Network Ltd looks smart. A number of big bale stacks have been made by the team so far, and also have had the drill going consistently with spring cultivation over the last few weeks, which Sam has made a very neat job of!
We hope everyone has a productive and safe few weeks leading up to Christmas 🎄
