Another state housing upgrade underway 🏡

For the past couple of years we’ve been working alongside Citycare Property, supporting renovation and upgrade work on homes for Kāinga Ora. A lot of these houses have been around for decades, so it’s rewarding to help bring them back up to a warm, dry and healthy standard for the families who live in them.

A Ranstead Builders are grateful to be a part of keeping these homes well maintained for our community here in Marlborough.

Deck transformation in progress! 🔨🔥

The house was recently relevelled after a slip, and we’re now rebuilding the deck to match the new height. Old joists are being replaced with new ones, bearers adjusted where needed, and brand-new Kwila decking is going down for a strong, fresh finish.

To add to the decking upgrades, we’re also building a brand-new pole shed at our clients property in Lochmara Bay, designed for functionality, style, and longevity. One bay will have a roller door for secure storage, while the other will remain open for easy access. The shed will be clad in horizontal iron in the colour ‘Grey Frias’, giving it a sleek, modern finish once complete.

Behind the scenes on site 👷‍♂️

This week we’ve been re-levelling the floor joists in this Marlborough Sounds property to prepare for new flooring and a new kitchen install.
The floor was out by 35mm in some areas, so adjusting and strengthening the joists before the next stage can take place was a must.

How good is working with a view like this!

+ Have a minimum 3 years experience building.
+ Have your own source of transport.
+ Based in Marlborough.
+ Available to work Mon-Fri.
+ A confident builder with great attention to detail, problem solving skills and a positive easy-going attitude.
