Curious to know what you all think about my two topics today! Calling all bosses, recruiters, workers, and site crew—what are your thoughts on CVs vs. Customer Service?
I wanted to add one key thing on customer service:

You have to learn how to deal with all walks of life—especially when situations get tough.
For me, it comes down to this:
Stay calm & keep your cool: Read body language, because every person and situation needs a different approach.
Know when to escalate: If a situation goes beyond what you can handle, let them know you're here to help, but bring in your supervisor to get the right answers.
Read the room: Keep a positive attitude no matter what. 😊

"Hi everyone! I wanted to pop on here and share a quick update about the page and where I’m focusing my energy right now.

Over the past couple of months, I’ve gained incredible experience in real estate and high-level client services, which taught me so much about contract administration, negotiation, and clear communication.

However, my heart and true background have always been hands-on—in civil site safety, workshop logistics, dispatch, and operational support. With my background in STMS, Permit to Work safety, Class 2 driving, and forklift operations, I’ve decided to align my page and focus back onto Civil, Site, and Operations Coordination here in Taranaki.

I’m updating my page to reflect those services, site safety insights, and local project support. I'm excited for this next chapter, bringing together both my practical site experience and my business skills to support our local crews and industries.

Lately, I’ve been investing time into reflecting, resetting, and leveling up my mindset. I picked up this book, Change Your Life by Sandra Forrester, at a conference in Auckland, and it has been worth every single cent. 📖✨

The biggest takeaway for me so far is all about the power of a focused mind. It reminds me of driving a car—you don't need to know exactly how every single mechanical part under the hood works just to turn the key, step on the gas, and trust yourself to drive. You just have to get behind the wheel and start steering. 🚗💨
Growth doesn't happen by staying comfortable. It means leaving the past behind, being adaptable to change, and staying consistent even when it’s hard. If you keep feeding yourself negative thoughts, you can't build a positive future. You have to speak your goals into existence, write them down, and actively work toward them every day to manifest the right outcome.
I’m so excited to take these fresh strategies, trust my abilities, and focus my mind on the next chapter ahead. The future is bright! 🚀🌟

Your direction is more important than your speed."

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about building a business from scratch, it’s that the path is never a straight line. Sometimes you hit a roadblock you didn’t see coming, and sometimes life forces a pivot.

But 'Hustle and Heart' isn’t just a catchy name for a page—it’s how I choose to live. Hustle means you keep moving forward, no matter what. Heart means you keep your integrity intact through it all.

I wanted to say a massive, heartfelt thank you to everyone who has followed along, sent messages, and supported me so far. Change can be daunting, but it’s also where the biggest growth happens. My focus is entirely on my future, sharpening my skills, and getting ready for the next big chapter.

I will continue to hold my head high and keep walking with a smile 😊
Because i truly know the right company will show up for me.
My journey is still just beginning. 🫶
