Our client needed a perfectly level surface, but removing the existing tiles wasn’t a practical option. Instead, we mechanically ground the tile surface to create the ideal bond, then applied a high-quality Floor Levelling Compound (FLC) to achieve a smooth, flat finish ready for the next stage of flooring installation.

Another practical floor transformation ticked off by the NZ Grinders team.

For this coolroom upgrade, we carried out a full floor prep system to create a cleaner, safer, and more durable finish. The job included:

✅ Prep grind
✅ Hole filling
✅ Floor levelling
✅ Glue grinding/removal
✅ 150mm high resin coving build-up
✅ Finished with Mapei Epoxy Paint 302 SL
✅ Added 0.25 quartz for extra non-slip grip

We loved being part of this beautiful fit-out — nothing better than seeing a fresh space come to life.

For this project we completed a grind and seal finish, using a Husqvarna topical sealer — the perfect durable, easy-care solution for a high-traffic retail environment. 👌💪
The floor looks incredible and will stand up to all the foot traffic of a busy dessert spot! 🍰🥤

First, we lifted the tiles, then ground, primed, and finished with a self-levelling compound for a smooth, flawless base 🔨🧹✨
