ORCHARD REPAIR WORK - Longterm job opportunities

We're on the look out for a fit and reliable general fencing labourer be apart of our orchard structure and maintenance team based in Paengaroa.

The job involves building, repairing and maintaining kiwifruit orchards, and constructing fences and retaining walls.

We have a busy season throughout winter with opportunities to work overtime across a variety of rural fencing, orchard development and wire projects. This is a full time position.

* Work outside, be fit and healthy
* Onsite training provided
* Must have a valid working visa
* Physically fit able to lift 25kgs
* Reliable and able travel to orchards across the western BOP 7.00am - 4.30pm - 5 days a week.

This was an avocado orchard two years ago... 🥑🥑🥑

The avo trees were removed, ground was prepped, grass was sown, a kiwifruit structure was built; irrigation, plants and shelters are now in.

We're currently consulting on summer development projects for 2026. If strength, scale and performance are key season on season, we are your experienced and knowledgable orchard construction team.

We frame farms, orchards and rural lifestyle properties. This winter season we're full time repairing and maintaining kiwifruit orchards, however we're in the midst of new development and fencing site visits for summer 2025/2026.

The job involves repairing and maintaining kiwifruit orchards, developing new blocks, constructing fences and retaining walls.

Experience running fencing projects from start to finish is a plus, leading and managing teams will be favoured also.

This is J. 👋🏼

J’s usually in the office instead of running wires in the orchards, however, you might catch a rare glimpse of this red-headed mare on an orchard site visit or two.

Preferred by the team to be in the kitchen making cakes and muffins; J knows her skills are better utilised across Operations and Marketing so she multi-tasks both.

Coming from a background in Marketing and running her own business for the last 7 years, J is the boss's right-hand lady for job scheduling, sales, marketing, compliance, processes and procedures.

Her main priority is focusing on making jobs run smoother, more efficient, and cost-effective for growers and owners. (plus feeding the team whenever she can 😋)

This year, the weather's creating ideal growing conditions for much of NZ's Kiwifruit orchards. The 2024 harvest season is forecast to ship a significantly higher volume of 193 million trays, up from the 133 million trays exported last year. 👏

We are in the middle of harvest and everyone in the industry is looking forward to a bumper crop after last season's cyclones, frosts and low pick-and-pack staff numbers.
