A year later… and it’s still going strong. 🌼🌱

We recently revisited this wildflower meadow in Pyes Pa that we hydroseeded last season... and it’s done exactly what we love to see.
What was once a bare hillside has returned for another year of colour, texture, and biodiversity. The wildflowers have naturally re-established, bringing the slope back to life without needing constant intervention.

Projects like this are a great reminder that hydroseeding isn’t just about quick results - when done right, it can create something that continues to evolve and thrive over time.

Hydroseeding for Large-Scale Batter Protection - Pukehina 💪 (before and after photos)!
This project in Pukehina involved hydroseeding steep batters on the wall of a large pond, which separates a kiwifruit orchard from the water. With approximately 170m of batter work, multiple tiers, and steep 5m walls, this was a large-scale and technically demanding site. Just the kind of challenging project we excel at!

The wall forms a critical health and safety and separation barrier, ensuring the pond is safely contained while protecting the surrounding orchard land.

The Grass Guys were brought in to provide erosion control and slope stabilisation through hydroseeding, helping protect the exposed batters while vegetation establishes.

This backyard is going to be a summer favourite. 🌱☀️

The Grass Guys recently completed this residential hydroseeding project in Papamoa for our client’s pool area.

The first photo shows the soil freshly prepared and ready for hydroseeding, while the second shows the newly applied hydroseed mix protecting the area while the grass establishes.

In a few weeks’ time, this space will transform into a lush green lawn ready for BBQs, family gatherings, and long afternoons by the pool.
