Proud to Be Part of a Major Milestone in Te Puke 🚧

It’s great to see another major milestone reached on the Te Puke Wastewater Treatment Plant project, with the pre-cast concrete walls for the Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) tanks now installed.

78 pre-cast walls, manufactured by Preco and installed by the teams at McConnell Dowell and Po***ck Cranes are now in place. Standing more than 8.5 metres tall and up to 2.7 metres wide, these impressive structures have required careful planning, precision and teamwork to install safely and efficiently.

We’re proud to have our team and cranes involved in delivering such an important project for the Te Puke community. 💪🏗️

The SBR tanks are where the main wastewater treatment process takes place, removing contaminants from wastewater before it is safely discharged.

🚧 Construction will continue on the SBR tanks and other major structures across the site, with the new plant expected to be operational in 2028.

A big thank you to everyone involved in reaching this milestone. We’re proud to play our part alongside McConnell Dowell and Preco in delivering this important project.

Po***ck Cranes was proud to be part of a recent Careers Day, which was a tremendous success, giving hundreds of Western Bay of Plenty students an inspiring, hands-on introduction to the civil construction industry.

Hosted by Fulton Hogan, HEB Construction and industry partners, the event gave students from Mount Maunganui College, Tauranga Girls' College, Te Puke College, Papamoa College, Trident High School and Whakatāne High School an exclusive behind-the-scenes look where they experienced large-scale infrastructure construction in action.

Throughout the day, students explored a wide range of career opportunities, including civil engineering, environmental management, project management, apprenticeships, cadetships and trade pathways. However, it was clear that the biggest attraction was the heavy machinery—especially the impressive cranes operating across the site. The sheer size and capability of these machines captured the imagination of many of the tamariki, sparking conversations about careers in the crane and construction industries.

Events like this are invaluable in inspiring the next generation and demonstrating that there are rewarding pathways into the industry where young people can earn while they learn.

A huge thank you to Fulton Hogan, HEB Construction and everyone involved in organising such a fantastic event. We were honoured to showcase our equipment and share our passion for the crane industry with the workforce of tomorrow.

Proud moment for the team at Po***ck Cranes.

Earlier this month, our team had the privilege of carrying out a major crane lift for the Hārania Flood Resilience Project in Māngere — a project co-funded by Auckland Council and Central Government that will help protect homes, infrastructure, and the local community from future flooding events.

Using one of New Zealand’s largest mobile cranes, our team safely lifted and positioned a critical 36m-long section of the Eastern Interceptor pipe as part of this significant infrastructure upgrade. The total lift weight for the pipe was 116 tonnes, which was placed at close to 50m radius. A temporary bridge was also installed to allow the crane and supporting equipment safe access to the site to complete this impressive lift. Projects of this scale require extensive planning, teamwork, and precision, and we’re extremely proud of the effort put in by everyone involved both on site and behind the scenes.

It’s always rewarding to be part of work that leaves a lasting impact on Auckland’s future, and we appreciate the opportunity to contribute to such an important project.

A special thank you to Fulton Hogan — it was a pleasure working alongside their team throughout this project.

A huge thank you as well to our operators, riggers, transport teams, and support staff whose professionalism and hard work made this lift a success.

Tight access. Zero room for error.

Po***ck Cranes Hiab lifted a 500kg hardtop onto a 14m Herley Boats boat with less than 100mm clearance to spare. The Hiab stayed outside the shed doors while the lift was carried out with absolute precision from start to finish.

A job that required careful planning, steady hands, and pinpoint accuracy. Great result all round.

Po***ck Cranes was engaged by Mount Maunganui Engineering to supply a 100ton all terrain crane, along with a highly skilled, certified rigger/dogman and specialist rigging equipment.

This setup was essential for the safe and precise removal of critical rudder components from the vessel Belle Plaine (formerly Hong Kong) while it was docked at Mount Maunganui Wharf.

The scope of work also included transport to and from the repair facilities. The team worked closely with port authorities to ensure all lifting operations complied with wharf structural requirements, using specialist outrigger matting to effectively distribute loads.

Achieving another fabulous result on our annual Tōtika assessment is no small feat, it really speaks to the strength of our health and safety culture.

Our team has hit the sweet spot! They aren't just following the safety systems, they’re actually owning them through relevant feedback and continuous improvement. When the people on the ground feel empowered to suggest changes, the systems naturally become more practical and effective.

A huge well done to the whole crew for their hard work and commitment to keeping everyone safe!

When a manufacturer trusts you with their own equipment, you know you’re doing something right.

Heavy haulage isn't just about horsepower, it’s about precision planning and technical ex*****on. Whether it's navigating tight urban corners or specialised route surveys, our team ensures your mission-critical equipment arrives on time and without a scratch.

Watching a vessel of this scale move through the streets never gets old.

Our team at Po***ck Cranes used their ESS Module unit to ensure a smooth, stable journey for this impressive new asset for the Director of TRT, Bruce Carden.

We don't just move freight, we move the infrastructure that builds the future.
