Proud moment for the team at Po***ck Cranes.
Earlier this month, our team had the privilege of carrying out a major crane lift for the Hārania Flood Resilience Project in Māngere — a project co-funded by Auckland Council and Central Government that will help protect homes, infrastructure, and the local community from future flooding events.
Using one of New Zealand’s largest mobile cranes, our team safely lifted and positioned a critical 36m-long section of the Eastern Interceptor pipe as part of this significant infrastructure upgrade. The total lift weight for the pipe was 116 tonnes, which was placed at close to 50m radius. A temporary bridge was also installed to allow the crane and supporting equipment safe access to the site to complete this impressive lift. Projects of this scale require extensive planning, teamwork, and precision, and we’re extremely proud of the effort put in by everyone involved both on site and behind the scenes.
It’s always rewarding to be part of work that leaves a lasting impact on Auckland’s future, and we appreciate the opportunity to contribute to such an important project.
A special thank you to Fulton Hogan — it was a pleasure working alongside their team throughout this project.
A huge thank you as well to our operators, riggers, transport teams, and support staff whose professionalism and hard work made this lift a success.
