Hi! I’m Anita, the person behind Growing Abundance Flowers, Gardening and Education.

I’m a Mum of two energetic, amazing boys, a wife to a hunter, engineer and wonderful man, and a daughter, sister and friend to some very special people in my life.

I spent most of my childhood in and around Te Aroha and never planned to come back, but I’m so grateful that my journey has brought me here. I love living in this community and growing my family, business and life here.

I grew up playing in and around gardens, with family in all directions having gardens of all sizes — feeding themselves and often others too. I’ve had gardens in every place I’ve lived as an adult. And love growing, harvesting and catching what we need as a family.

These days our life is a mix of family, our home, our dogs, chickens, a few beefies, the flower farm, gardening work, floristry, school runs, projects, getting outside and generally trying to keep everything moving.

When everything is stripped away, I’m curious, creative and a nature seeker. I love learning, making, growing and being around people. I’m happiest when I’m outside, when there is something to be working on, or when we’re all together doing ordinary life.

Hey guys this is me!

My name's Anita, I am Growing Abundance alongside my beautiful family and the occasional support.

Growing Abundance was the answer to my family living the life that we wanted while our children grow. It has become much more than that for me now, it is the new found community, an ever-developing appreciation of how we connect with nature and each other.

This began with the idea of a gardening service and indoor plants business, and soon took on its own life to be a gardening service and produce/flower growing business.

Our gardening service is still a core part of Growing Abundance, however, our flowers are truly growing!
Not only in our field but also what we supply our local community.
I am loving getting to know flowers in a whole new way.
I have understood the importance of them from the garden, soil and beneficial insect space. But the joy, love and appreciation that flowers bring to people is heartwarming.
This isn't just for those that receive our flowers but also those who gift them.

We have moved from a seasonal flower provider to 52 weeks a year flower service.

It is great working alongside the team at Four Square Te Aroha to provide you with grab and go flowers every week of the year.

There is also a huge sense of joy and connection when personally making bouquets for you through your orders direct through me, Anita at Growing Abundance.

Thank you for supporting Growing Abundance (and my family) to grow within our community so that we can all bring a little bit and sometimes a luscious bundle of cheerful blooms into your homes and places of work.

I look forward to getting to know you through flowers and possibly even your gardens more as time goes on.
