Kia ora to our wonderful community,
Some of you may have heard that gardening tools were stolen from Te Kete o Te Aroha - Our Village Garden.
It is sad to see this happen - the gardens provide kai for the sharing table and community hospital and is the work of a small group of amazing volunteers.
What has been heartening is that a few people have donated items - if that is you - thank you! 🌻This support really put a smile on our faces.
It also made us think that other people may have spare items at home that they would be happy to donate, so we thought we would be cheeky and ask.
We would appreciate any of the following items in working condition:
🌱Secateurs
🌱An expandable hose
🌱Hose fittings
🌱Hose attachments
🌱Sprinklers (for when the water level allows)
🌱Garden trowels and forks
🌱Garden hoops
🌱First aid kits
🌱Small sledge hammer
If you have something you are happy to donate we are at the gardens every Sunday from 1-4pm, if the item is small, then it could be "posted" into the shed, or leave a comment and one of the team will be in touch.
