Parengarenga Incorporation is seeking a highly experienced Harvest Manager to lead and manage our forestry harvesting operations in Te Kao.
Guided by our vision “Growing our people and communities, shaping the Te Hiku future through a world-class, sustainable enterprise of the land and sea,” this is a key leadership role responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable harvesting operations.
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲
Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee all harvesting activities, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and FSC standards. You will lead a team of forestry professionals, manage operational planning, and maintain strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
Lead and manage all forest harvesting operations
Drive a strong health & safety culture across all crews
Ensure compliance with EIAs, environmental standards, and FSC requirements
Oversee machinery, infrastructure, and operational planning
Lead, support, and develop forestry teams
Deliver reporting, budgeting, and performance outcomes
𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 (𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹)
Minimum 10 years’ proven forestry experience – this is non-negotiable
Extensive experience in harvesting operations - clear-fell
Demonstrated leadership experience managing crews and contractors
Strong understanding of environmental compliance, EIAs, and H&S systems
Experience working within forestry operations
Licences & Qualifications
Full driver’s licence with all relevant classes required for the role
Relevant forestry or operational management qualifications preferred
