Reduce Thermal Bridging with Ceiling Batten Insulation

Mammoth® Ceiling Batten Insulation is designed to improve the thermal performance of skillion and truss roofs by insulating the ceiling batten space - helping to reduce thermal bridging through rafters and truss bottom chords.

Made from 100% polyester, Mammoth batten insulation is available in blanket and friction-fit section options. The friction-fit sections are typically installed between 35mm or 45mm timber ceiling battens, while in rondo systems, the framing can be suspended to allow a 45mm blanket to be laid over the top.

The ceiling batten cavity is often an underutilised space that can contribute significantly to the overall thermal performance of a building. For projects with larger roof cavities, Mammoth Ceiling Blankets may be suitable, while Mammoth Skillion Sections are designed for roof spaces with limited clearance.

✂️ How do you cut Mammoth polyester insulation?

It's easier than you might think! Mammoth polyester blanket insulation can simply be torn across the width, making installation quick and convenient.

For more precise cuts, both blankets and segments can be easily trimmed to size using:
✔ A wide-blade craft knife with replaceable blades (such as Tajima)
✔ A Bahco insulation saw
