🦺👀 Murupara! Expect to see some new pals lurking about town for the next few months. From today you'll notice an increase in contractors around as our crew from JRK Concrete kick off mahi on a number of footpaths around town. There's a whole bunch that need sorting due to trip hazards, or the need for replacement due to age/condition.

⚙️📍 This work includes footpath maintenance on Pine Drive, Oregon Drive, Kowhai Ave, Rewa Cres, Miro Drive, Kahikatea St, Karamea St, Konini St, Hinau Pl, Rata St, Pohutukawa St, Nikau Pl, Ngaio Pl, Matai St, Kauri St, Rimu Rd, Tōtara St, Oak St, Tawa St, Puriri Cres, Ngatimanawa Rd, and Main Rd.

👷🏼 All works will be done street by street, and if we're blocking a spot, we'll ensure there's always an alternative pedestrian route.

👩🏽‍🦼 This work includes a total of approximately 3000m2 of footpath being replaced and a number of kerb ‘let downs’ installed to assist pram and mobility scooter users to access the road safely.

We're expecting this work to take approximately 9 months to complete (weather dependant), and envisage this mahi to be wrapped up ahead of Christmas 🎄

An exciting project we have been a part of is this upgrade of the Landing Road roundabout and nearby footpaths in Whakatāne. Working with the crew at Waiotahi Contractors Ltd is always a pleasure and we look forward to the finishing stages.
