One of the ways Tidy Gardens gives back to our community 💚

A few years ago, we planted up some of the older graves at the Ōtorohanga Cemetery that no longer get regularly tended, adding a little colour and life to them 🌸

Yesterday we headed back up to give them some love — tidying them up, clearing away the weeds and adding some fresh plants 🪴🌼

It’s only a small thing, but we think every resting place deserves to be cared for and look beautiful 💚

Planting citrus at a client’s and giving them the best start 🍋🌿

Adding Daltons Garden & Landscape Supplies Fruit & Citrus Fertiliser at planting time to give them the nutrients they need to establish well, encourage healthy growth and set them up for plenty of fruit in the future 🙌

A good start makes all the difference! 💚

Giving these container gardens a little refresh before planting them back up 🌱

I topped them up with some fresh potting mix and added Daltons Garden & Landscape Supplies Premium Container & Garden Fertiliser to put some nutrients back into the soil after the previous plants had done their thing 🙌

A simple step, but a good one for giving the new plants the best start 🌸

Ok but how pretty & colourful are the baskets down the main street of Ōtorohanga starting to look 😍🌸

Planted & looked after by the Tidy Gardens team, and planted in Daltons Garden & Landscape Supplies Potting Mix 🙌 They’re only going to get better as we head into spring! 🌼🌿

Stoked with my second ever pig I’ve stuck 🐗 Nice little boar and the dogs did bloody good! We weren’t even in the bush for two hours before we got this guy 👌

What I was probably most stoked about though was how much better my fitness felt. Last time I went out I was lagging behind and struggling to keep up, but this time was a completely different story. All the gyming and running is definitely paying off!

Even managed to carry the pig most of the way out, which was my first proper carry 💪 Safe to say I’m definitely itching to get back out there and do it all again 🐗

Lucky to have a partner who takes me out and teaches me along the way 💚

A little winter tidy-up on these Alstroemerias 🌿

They might be starting to yellow and look a little worse for wear at this time of year, but don’t be tempted to remove all of the growth above ground!

Leaving some of that foliage in place helps give the crowns at the base of the plant a bit of protection from frost. Winter might nearly be over, but while there’s still a risk of frost, I’m just removing the really dead, damaged and messy growth and leaving the rest to do its job 🌱

Once the risk of frost has passed and spring rolls around, you can give them a proper tidy-up and remove the old growth ready for all the fresh new shoots 👌

Sometimes a winter garden tidy is more about knowing what to leave behind than cutting everything back!
