I recently installed some new wall lining, new tiled splashbacks in the kitchen, and a laundry revamp complete with new units, benchtop and tiling, all stopped, decorated and joinery fitted by me. A very fresh new look with Spring just around the corner!

Uh-Oh.... It's almost winter again! Are your gutters going to do their job with all of the winter rain/hail that often comes our way? If your guttering is full you risk damaging internal timbers but also you are likely to get leaks inside! Treating your roof for lichen/moss will also ensure your spring roof is looking fresh again. I'm happy to complete your gutter maintenance and I'm also able to see to the roof cleaning if your require it.
I can mend your dodgy wind-blown fences too, especially if your pup is prone to going off visiting around the town...

How healthy are your Barge Boards?
Rot left to spread in these areas can end up being a very big deal to repair.

Time and again I see clients with leaking or dilapidated roofing who have had horrendous prices, sometimes from door-knocking salesmen, to replace their roofs.
Often this just isn't necessary, and despite appearances some roofs have decent quality iron that can be reliably repaired to give them years more service. With a good quality painting job (including thorough rust prep, repair if necessary, primer if necessary, totalling at least 2 good coats of a full strength industrial roof paint) this still comes in at a fraction of the cost of unnecessary replacement. (Please don't ever pay someone to simply spray on a single coat to your unprepared roof! It won't last 5 minutes!)

2025 is shaping up to be a big year too, as I plan my work calendar.

Just when these homeowners thought they were up for a huge replacement cost, I managed to bring their timber windows back to life. It's a good feeling to keep these materials from going to landfill when there is just no need, with a bit of TLC.

I often see neglected timber work and, in the case of this very elderly and sad garage, a candidate for the wrecking ball.
As with this weather board house, it's amazing how fast a bit of rot can spread and endanger your home's structure.
But it's amazing how a bit of timber expertise and good craftmanship, along with a thorough and sound paint treatment can save the day.

Afraid your timber window is beyond repair? STOP! Don't replace it- I specialise in repairing timber window frames and I can often restore these and also complete your reglazing and decorating!

The pic below right shows this window in a very bad way, with lots of decaying timbers, less visible is the decay that had eaten into the sashes.

I'm a bit unique, and as I did my City and Guilds (London) building apprenticeship in the UK, I was also trained in stopping, plastering, decorating, tiling ... amongst others! So I'm happy to complete your whole job, and for the other trades I have qualified tradesmen I network with. I'll also glaze, and complete small repairs and maintenance for you.
