International recognition, followed by national attention

On 7 August, one of our homes was featured on the front page of The Wall Street Journal's Real Estate section as "House of the Week: Built Off-Site and Hauled to Remote New Zealand."

Then, on 14 August, the home was featured by Stuff, with the headline: "Remote Lake Tekapo property amid the tussock has caught the eye of US media."

This remarkable Lake Tekapo home is another acclaimed architectural design by Nott Architects, recipients of an NZIA Canterbury Architecture Award, and expertly built by Wilson Building Timaru. It is a testament to what's possible with innovative off-site construction, exceptional craftsmanship, and clients with exceptional vision to create something truly unique in one of New Zealand's most spectacular landscapes.

We're incredibly proud to have been part of this journey and to see New Zealand design and construction recognised both internationally and here at home.

🏆 We're incredibly proud to have been awarded a Gold Award and named the Renovation Category Winner once again at the Master Builders House of the Year Awards.

This award is a reflection of our team's dedication, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering quality homes.

What began as a modest red brick home has been transformed into a stunning, light-filled family home, now more than double its original size. Seeing our clients' vision come to life has been an incredibly rewarding journey.

A special thank you to our clients for choosing Wilson Building Timaru to bring their vision to life. It has been a privilege to be part of creating a home that their family will enjoy for many years to come.

We'd also like to recognise our foreman, Josh, whose leadership, organisation and commitment on site ensured the project ran smoothly from start to finish.

From workshop floor to finished masterpiece! 🏡✨
A little while ago, we shared photos of the huge trusses our team built during some rainy days in the yard. Today, we're excited to show you the completed large alteration project they became part of.
It's always rewarding to see the journey from raw materials to a beautiful, finished home, and this architecturally designed build is no exception. The craftsmanship, teamwork, and attention to detail that went into completing this project can now be seen in a home that we're incredibly proud of.
A fantastic result for our clients and another project completed by the Wilson Building Team. 👏🔨

We’ve officially kicked off an exciting new commercial project for Motor Group.
They are combining their car yards, service bays, and showrooms into one big modern new premises.
Stage one — demolition — is now underway!
We’re looking forward to sharing the transformation as the project progresses.
