We've recently completed the refurbishment of this local playground, giving the space a fresh new look without the need for a complete rebuild. The project included replacing the ageing safety surfacing, reshaping the fenced play area, installing new timber edging, cleaning the playground equipment, fitting new seesaw bumpers, and adding a new bench for parents and caregivers. It's a great example of how thoughtful improvements make a real difference.

🚿 The team has started work on this bathroom renovation this week.

Our clients are looking to modernise the space and improve accessibility, replacing the existing shower-over-bath with a large new shower, along with a fresh new look throughout.

Demolition is already underway and, over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing progress as the transformation takes shape.

To help keep things comfortable while work is underway, we've provided a portable toilet and shower on site so the homeowners can continue living at home throughout the renovation.

Two years ago, we put a post on Facebook asking people to nominate a local organisation that deserved a helping hand. The plan was simple. We'd choose one deserving group and give their space a bit of a makeover.

What we weren't prepared for was the number of nominations that came through.

There were so many incredible organisations doing great things in our community, and so many people passionate about supporting them, that choosing just one never felt quite right. Before we knew it, one project had turned into six.

Since then, we've had the privilege of working with the Gloriavale Leavers' Support Trust, He Manu Hou Trust, Te Aitarakihi, North Haven Child Care and Education Centre, The New Zealand Raptor Trust and, most recently, Temuka United Football Club.

Temuka clubrooms were nominated because it's much more than a football club. The rooms are used by all sorts of community groups throughout the year and have become an important gathering place for many people in the area. After years of use, the interior was looking tired and in need of a refresh.

With the help of the fantastic team at Todd Mudie Group, the space has been transformed into something brighter, fresher and far more welcoming for everyone who uses it.

As we wrap up this final project, we've found ourselves reflecting on how something that started as a simple idea grew into a two-year journey that allowed us to support six amazing organisations across South Canterbury.

To everyone who nominated a group, shared a story, or helped make these projects happen, thank you. Community isn't just about the buildings and facilities. It's about the people behind them, the volunteers who give up their time, and the organisations that quietly make a difference every day.

We're grateful we got to play a small part!

We’ve just wrapped up an interior refresh for our mates at Café at The Complex, giving the space a fresh new feel with a modern update that also improves the overall customer experience.

The project included a new feature wall behind the counter finished in Resene Woodland, along with acoustic timber panelling throughout the seating area. The timber panelling adds warmth and texture to the café while also helping reduce ambient noise levels, making the space feel more comfortable and enjoyable during busy service times.

It’s a great example of how the right material choices can completely lift a space visually while also adding practical benefits day to day. The finished result feels modern, welcoming, and better suited to the atmosphere Café at The Complex wanted to create.

Big progress happening at our Gleniti rural renovation!

Last time we shared this project, GIB was only just starting to go on. Fast forward a few weeks and now the entire stage is lined, with painting and prep work well underway throughout the home.

The groove ceilings and exposed macrocarpa beams are now installed and already bringing real warmth and character into the space. They are giving the home that modern country feel the clients were after, especially through the new kitchen, dining, and living area.

The next big milestone is the kitchen installation happening next week. Once that is complete, the floating flooring can go down and this space will really start to feel finished. The custom solid macrocarpa benchtop is going to tie in beautifully with the exposed beams and complete the overall look.

Next time we update this project, this stage should be all but complete and we will be ready to crack on with the new ensuite off the master bedroom.

Great to see everything tracking well on site and all trades continuing to keep things moving smoothly.

Stage two of our Washdyke commercial fit-out is now complete, marking the final handover for this project.

While stage one delivered one tenancy, stage two focused on creating a separate commercial space designed around flexibility and functionality. The finished tenancy features open plan office space, a dedicated meeting room, glazed partitioning, modern lighting, and the same timber ceiling detail through the entrance that ties both spaces together beautifully.

The result is a clean, professional workspace ready for the new tenants to move straight into and get operating without delay.

Projects like this take careful coordination between trades, suppliers, timelines, and finishing details to ensure everything comes together smoothly. What a difference a few weeks can make 👏

This bathroom renovation is now complete, and the transformation speaks for itself.

We took this space from two tired, dated rooms and turned it into one clean, modern bathroom that feels far more practical and comfortable to use day to day. The new layout makes much better use of the space, while the darker finishes and black fittings give it a sharp, modern look without losing warmth.

Finished in Resene Half Raven, the new colour scheme works perfectly with the flooring, vanity, and fittings to create a simple, timeless finish that completely changes the feel of the home.
