Big moves at Waipuna Rise 🚜⛰️

Bulk earthworks are well underway at the Waipuna Rise development near Queenstown, where our team is shaping the landscape and laying the foundations for what’s to come. This project includes the construction of new roads, carparks, and essential three waters infrastructure to support future growth in the area.

By completion, we’ll have moved more than 78,000 Cubic Meters of material across the site and installed:
• 2.38km of stormwater infrastructure
• 1.67km of wastewater pipelines
• 1.34km of water supply lines
• Nearly 1km of new fencing and retaining walls

It’s always satisfying to see progress measured not just in metres and tonnes, but in the transformation of a site taking shape.

Sam is a quiet achiever — never one to make a fuss, but always the first to put her hand up and jump into any job that needs doing. She consistently completes both her workplace tasks and assessment evidence to an exceptional standard, showing real dedication and pride in her work.

Sam has now moved on to a Heavy Diesel Apprenticeship, and we wish her all the very best for the road ahead — a huge future awaits! 🚛💪

🚧 Project Complete: Timaru Theatre Royal Civils Package 🚧

After 5 months of hard work, our team at PSE has successfully completed the civils works at the Theatre Royal site! This included:

Demolition of old structures with over 5,500T of total material removed from site
Installation of almost 300m of new stormwater pipes, plus new water and sewer services
Over 100 lineal metres of new concrete retaining walls, expertly built by our mates at Thompson Construction Engineering Precast

With this groundwork complete, Hawkins can now move forward with the next stage of works. We’re proud to be supporting this iconic project from the ground up! 👷‍♂️✨
