Kalin Contracting has been operating in South Taranaki for over 65 years and is now led by the third generation, Alastair Kalin.

As the business continues to grow, they needed a place to protect their fleet of machinery from the harsh coastal environment. "This shed's not just for me; it's for the next generation. Gear has become so expensive that leaving it outside in corrosive coastal Taranaki is not an option," says Alastair Kalin.

With timber poles, pre-dried timber framing, and hot-dip galvanised structural steel rafters, the Alpine design offers ultimate long-term durability and rust protection for a shed that's built to last for the generations to come.

Shed of the Week.

In need of a new shed for implement, grain, and seed storage, this client chose Alpine for the quality materials and clearspan, bird-proof design.

On a multi-generational farm with sheds over 150 years old, this client wanted their new shed to "look good and last for the generations to come." Because when you're building your Forever Shed, you want to do it once. And do it right.

Shed of the Week.

This 18.0m x 30.0m long shed was purpose-built to protect this client's prized car collection.

Alpine's clearspan rafter design provides an open area with no centrepoles to work around, making it easy for moving vehicles around within the shed. With pre-dried timber and structural steel rafters, this shed is built to last, giving these cars the quality home they deserve.

Rose Ag is a fifth-generation family operation in Marlborough, and as their business grew from hay and silage work into grape harvesting and vineyard services, they needed a new shed to protect their growing fleet.

"It was time to bite the bullet; it was time to move forward and actually have a decent shed for storage that was rodent-proof as well," Vaughan says.

He chose Alpine for its birdproof design and the durability of the timber pole and structural steel rafter system. The 20m x 24m long clearspan design and 6m lean-to gives Rose Ag the height and room to properly store harvesting equipment in the off-season.

Shed of The Week.

Based in Gisborne, this client's 10.0m x 40.0m long shed is built to protect their orchard machinery and increase operational efficiency.

The 10-metre-wide bays using Steelbone purlins gives them ease of access and maximum useable space to move machinery around. With a fully enclosed, birdproof design, there is nowhere for birds to nest, ensuring corrosive droppings won't damage the expensive gear.

Alastair Studholme runs Coldstream Estate, an 800ha cropping and sheep farm which has been in the family for 160 years. He knew that one day their silo drying system simply wouldn't keep up with the increased volume. "We're getting big enough that we needed our own drying facilities and we also needed a good machinery shed."

This shed is an 18m x 30m long clearspan birdproof shed, with a purpose-built grain drying floor, concrete tilt panels, and large sliding doors to make access easier for his large machinery.

He chose Alpine for the quality timber poles, the fact an Alpine shed is built to look good, and last for generations.

Shed of the Week.

Machinery, implements, and a workshop; all under one roof. In a shed that's built to last.

This 21.0m x 48.0m clearspan shed maximises usable space for this client, providing plenty of room to store valuable assets, as well as two dedicated workshop areas.

Alpine's combination of 5-10mm thick structural steel rafters, timber poles and pre-dried timber framing ensures this shed will endure the harsh coastal conditions and last for generations to come.

Alpine hangars are designed around your aircraft, your operation, and the way you use the space.

The clearspan, bird-proof roof design protects your aircraft from corrosive bird droppings while maximising usable floor space for storage, servicing, and maintenance.

A structural steel lintel system gives you the ability to choose the hangar door system that best suits your requirements, including sliding, tilting, and bi-folding doors.

Built with structural steel rafters and quality timber framing, an Alpine hangar is designed and engineered to last a lifetime. Or two.
