Wow! Such a lovely time of year with lots of plants flowering. My Bifrenaria harrisoniae orchid has produced several flowers this year. It’s attached to a tree fern trunk and seems happy to be forgotten about till it flowers!

AI tells me -

This species is native to coastal Brazil, where it grows as an epiphyte (on trees) or occasionally as a lithophyte (on rocks).
The flowers are known for their sweet scent, which typically becomes noticeable in the late afternoon.
A distinctive feature is the large, three-lolobed lip (labellum) covered in fuzzy, deep purple or red-brown hairs with darker veins, as seen in the image.
The plant produces broadly ovoid, angled pseudobulbs and blooms in early summer with up to two fragrant flowers on a short stem.
