Is there a food truck available to do our kart meeting on Sunday 12 July please? It’ll need to be at the track from 7 am till about 2 pm.

We always have something along the lines of a bacon & egg bun or similar available for breakfast so if that could be on your menu it’ll be great.

We do have a coffee kart coming so only a food provider needed please

James Drought Motorsport is a member of our club and has almost unlimited access to our track for practice and training days. Access like this is enabling the cream to rise to the top with our young karters and bikers.

Congratulations James. Your success is well deserved.

🇳🇿🏁 A young Kiwi racer making big moves on the international stage!

James Drought Motorsport only started riding and racing our Delirio EVO10 MiniGP bike several months ago, through Minigp Academy NZ training programmes, but his journey is already taking him around the world.

Representing FK Racing, James travelled to Australia to compete in the FIM Ohvale MiniGP support class (110cc), gaining valuable experience against strong competition.

And the adventure doesn’t stop there, this August, James is heading to China to compete in the MiniGP 110cc class, proudly carrying the New Zealand flag overseas.

For someone so new to the sport, his progress has been nothing short of impressive, and he may well be the youngest Kiwi rider competing internationally at only 9 years old.

We are extremely proud to support James and help him as best as we can throughout his riding development.

The future is bright for this young racer. Keep an eye on James — this is only the beginning.

The most deserving - and dare I say it LUCKY - recipient of our own Chur Bro Trophy was JMax Driver Asher Ehrlich.

Asher’s help was most appreciated on both Saturday (during practice) and Sunday.

Great to see this young man helping his club.

Congratulations to Jaycee Visagie for picking up the trophy for Fastest Lap by a Cadet, with a time of 41.326. He also took the win for the day.

Note the damage to his knee! Not a race injury but a result of the fantastic game of bull rush (or similar) that went on for about an hour. How cool to see that group of 10 or so kids having so much fun with their mates. That’s what it’s all about!

Winner of the X Rated Cadets class was Cooper Banks.

8 year old Cooper lives in Auckland and his mum said the only thing that gets him voluntarily out of bed at 5 am is to travel to the track.

This was Coopers third meeting & you can bet that this chatty lad is going to master the thank you speeches on the podium in no time 🙂

Congratulations Cooper 🏆

Info for tomorrow:

Gates will open at 7.30 and all the bizo happens until drivers briefing at 9.15ish, followed by a tuning run then racing.

Kitchen will be open all day for your breakfast and lunch needs, and a range of cold drinks.

A coffee trailer will be onsite for your hot drinks from breakfast time till probably just after lunch.

Please remember to chuck a rubbish bag or box into your trailer tonight to transport your rubbish tomorrow to the skip bin.

Who will win our 🏆🥇tomorrow? Driver of the Day medal, and a trophy for the top placing X Plater up for grabs! Could be a couple of our Tokoroa Special ‘Chur Bro’ trophies too 👍🏽

Still needing someone to help in the kitchen if you can spare an hour or two. Someone to help with the breakfast food and someone to help over the lunch break. Could this be you or a family member??

See you all tomorrow
