Lake Taupō Forest Trust The Trust now acts on behalf of more than 13,000 beneficial owners who retain their shares in the lands.

The Lake Taupō Forest Trust was established by Māori Land Court in 1968 to represent the interests of the owners of 68 separate Māori land titles on the eastern shores of Lake Taupō. The land blocks were originally leased to the Crown and planted in forest, with the stumpage shared between the Crown and the Trust at harvest. The Trust provides a range of grants and benefits to t

This kaupapa provides an opportunity for whānau to connect directly with Māori Land Court kaimahi, ask pātai, and grow understanding around whenua Māori matters.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we prepared for Cyclone Vaianu.

As a reminder, the following Roar Block access applies:

⏰ 5am to 11pm daily
Winter Access Hours are effective from Monday 11 May.
