Week two on townhouse two 🔨

Last week we got the level two frames up, with trusses, valleys, purlins and soffit pack installed.

Inspection passed Monday morning, so it’s onto building wrap, cavity battens and windows!

Beautiful weather and a full week of progress on site! ☀️

As we wrap up the renovations, we’re straight into the next stage of this development — starting on the second townhouse.

Frames delivered, stood and braced, with the midfloor underway and set to be completed before the second-storey frames are landed on Friday.

At the same time, Townhouse 3’s slab is being prepared, so it won’t be long before frames are going up there too.

Plenty happening on site and the development is really starting to take shape!

Bathroom reno progress.

The new ensuite is taking shape with the skylight and GIB now installed, along with GIB and the half-wall Villaboard detail in the main bathroom.

Big credit to JMS Plastering for smashing out the plastering for us. Great work and finish as always.

Onto the next stage.

Another final inspection passed with flying colours! ✅

Site boards down, site cleaned up and we’re officially off to the next one.

We’re lucky to have such great clients, and once a project is signed off and handed over, we like to show our appreciation with a little JJS gift pack and thank-you card.

Out with the old and in with the new...

The existing layout and walls have been demolished, and the new wall framing is now in place. We’ve also repaired the beautiful solid rimu flooring, ready for sanding and varnishing.

Really enjoyed remodeling the existing bathroom and creating a brand-new ensuite in the heart of this home. We can’t wait to see this transformation come together as we work towards the overall goal with these amazing clients!

From one renovation in Petone to another in Upper Hutt.

This family home is getting a serious bathroom transformation, including the addition of a brand-new ensuite.

A massive demo kicked things off, followed by new walls and a completely reworked layout to create two practical, functional spaces that work for the family.

It’s amazing what can be achieved with the right planning and a fresh approach to the existing space.

A wardrobe ➡️ a brand new ensuite 👏🏼

We’re making much better use of this space, removing the existing wardrobe and transforming it into a new ensuite — complete with shower, toilet and vanity.

It’s always cool seeing how a few layout changes can completely change the way a home works.

The framing is underway and this one is starting to take shape. We’ll share more as it comes together! We have made some design changes to combat the shower opening onto the toilet by swapping the toilet and vanity around and selecting a slim vanity. Small changes make a big difference.
