Bristol Street Water Main Renewal 💧

Our team is making great progress on the Bristol Street Watermain Renewal on behalf of Tiaki Wai.

The project involves the renewal of ageing water infrastructure along Bristol Street, helping address ongoing issues and improve the reliability of the local water network.

Works include the installation of approximately 328m of new 150mm watermain, 352m of ridermain, new service connections, valves and fittings, along with connections into the existing network at Bristol Street and Ararino Street.

A big effort from our crew on the ground as we continue working through the installation.💧👏🏼

🧱 Wellington High School Car Park & Heritage Wall Upgrade

We’re proud to be nearing completion the Wellington High School Car Park and Heritage Wall Upgrade.

This project involved strengthening the historic heritage-listed Tasman Street Wall while delivering a new car park and improved site access. Working alongside Heritage New Zealand and an on-site heritage consultant, our team carefully balanced the construction with the preservation of an important piece of Wellington’s history.

The completed works included:
• Heritage wall strengthening with ground anchors
• Earthworks and construction of a new asphalt car park
• New drainage, landscaping, kerbs and road markings
• New retaining wall, vehicle ramp and fencing

While the project is substantially complete, we are currently awaiting the arrival of a specialist imported grout, required to match the existing heritage requirements before final completion.

A huge effort from our on-site teams, preserving the past while creating improved facilities for the future 🚗🅿️

📍 The Avenue, Masterton

Our team has been hard at work delivering the civil infrastructure for the first 15 residential sections at The Avenue, Masterton. 🏘️

Works include; earthworks, stormwater infrastructure, wastewater services, potable water supply, utility installations, footpaths, berms, and road construction.

With the project now entering the surfacing stage, we’re on track to hand the completed civil works over to Hyslop Homes, who will bring the next phase of the subdivision to life for future homeowners 👏🏼

Progress is continuing on safer walking and cycling connections across Kāpiti 🚴🏼‍♀️

We’ve now completed the Peka Peka Road safety improvements. Running from the old state highway roundabout to Paetawa Road, the 2.4km stretch has been identified as a priority area for cycleway improvements. Works included widening vehicle lanes and building 1.5m sealed shoulders, with approximately 500m of road widened on both sides.

A huge thank you to our subcontractors PCL Contracting Ltd who undertook the chipseal works at our Peka Peka site 👏🏼

Work has also commenced on a new 645m shared path along the northern side of Park Avenue in Waikanae, running from near 44 Park Avenue to the Wrestling Club driveway. The path will make travel safer and easier for cyclists, walkers, mobility scooter users, and people with pushchairs, with new pedestrian crossings and refuge islands also being added.

Together, these projects are helping create a more connected, accessible, and safe network for the Kāpiti community 🙌🏼

Our team is nearing completion of Stage Two at Island Bay School, bringing the new central courtyard and accessibility upgrades to life.

Following the successful delivery of Stage One, it’s been great to see the school community already benefiting from the improved access and functionality. Stage Two has built on that foundation, with the demolition of an old building to make way for new accessible concrete ramps, concrete courtyard areas, access steps with varied finishes, paving, planter boxes, seating, and associated drainage.

The transformation is now clearly visible, with the courtyard space coming together and final finishes underway. This upgraded area will provide a safer, more accessible, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and the wider community.

Swipe through to see this project come to life, from day one of the demolition to the finished result 🚧➡️✨

A huge effort from the team and our subcontractors to get us to this point - nearly there 👏
