We’ve just delivered our Six-Month Report to December 2025 to our owner Wairoa District Council.

• We reported a solid financial result, with a $1.08m profit on $23.4m turnover, up on last year.

• We continue to deliver value through local jobs, dividends, and community support.

• Improvements at Bluck’s Pit and new projects like EcoReef blocks are creating opportunities for growth.

• Major progress on the Te Reinga Bridge rebuild has helped reconnect rural communities, with the bridge opening on Thursday.

• We were so proud to receive two regional civil construction awards over the past six months!

And, it’s moments like this one that bring it all together! Nearly 100 people turned out to watch the Te Reinga Bridge lift in November, with QRS staff Kaylah Reynolds and Steve Ryan helping keep everyone fed and hydrated.

It’s not just a theft from us, it’s a theft from the whole community. Just 20 litres of diesel keeps our 3-tonne digger running for around four hours helping maintain routes so locals can get to work, school, and home. We’re now draining tanks at the end of each day to protect the machines we rely on to do the job.
