Connor Stokes - Printmaker

We are delighted to celebrate Connor Stokes, whose artwork "Full Throttle" has been entered into the IHC Art Awards 2026.

Inspired by motorsport and speed, Full Throttle is a dynamic linocut print that captures the excitement and energy of a racing car in motion. Bold carved lines and striking contrasts create a powerful sense of movement, drawing viewers into the fast-paced world of the racetrack.

Connor is an artist from West Auckland whose work is inspired by his love of movies, particularly classic films, and iconic cars. He enjoys depicting race cars and classic Kiwi automotive culture, drawing on subjects that reflect both speed and nostalgia.

Through his artwork, Connor combines his passion for storytelling, design, and motorsport, creating works that celebrate the vehicles and films that have captured his imagination. His distinctive style reflects both his creativity and his enthusiasm for the subjects he loves most.

IHC Art Awards 2026 Artist Spotlight

Amy Hall - Textile Artist

We are delighted to celebrate Amy Hall, whose embroidered artwork "A Goat with a Wish" has been entered into the IHC Art Awards 2026.

Inspired by Valentino from Disney's Wish, Amy has used expressive stitching, rich textures, and careful attention to detail to capture the playful personality of this much-loved character. The work celebrates imagination, adventure, and the joy that stories can bring.

Amy is an accomplished textile artist whose embroidery reflects the subjects she is most passionate about. Her achievements include First Place in the IHC Art Awards in 2024 and Third Place in 2025.

When she isn't creating, Amy enjoys swimming, spending time with cats, and volunteering with animal rescue organisations throughout West Auckland.

We are incredibly proud to support Amy and wish her every success in this year's awards.
