A pretty special milestone for one of our own.
A huge congratulations to Brittany, who has officially become a NZ Registered Architect.
Britt first joined First Light as a postgraduate student back in 2017 and, somewhere along the way, became part of the furniture. Figuratively, but also quite literally. She’s our resident furniture specialist, with an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of architectural chairs and an appreciation for the classics.
Thoughtful and contagiously curious, architecture (and all things design) isn’t simply Britt’s job. It finds its way into almost every part of her life. She cares deeply about good design, the ideas behind it, and how the spaces and objects we create can make everyday life better.
Last year Britt returned home to Nelson, establishing First Light’s base in Te Tauihu and beginning an exciting new chapter for both her and the studio.
From student to Registered Architect, it’s been a privilege to watch Britt grow, contribute and become such an important part of First Light over the past nine years.
Congratulations, Britt. A huge achievement, thoroughly deserved, and a pretty great moment for all of us at First Light. 🥂
