Carelessness or sabotage??

We got called to a blocked toilet in a recently built property in CBD. Struggled to clear it. We were able to feed our drain camera in to the point where we could go no further, and located its position behind a wall just above ground floor. Then managed to navigate the camera around a few junctions until we could see what we were dealing with......

Any guesses as to what caused the blockage?

We have entered the second full week of a minimum of four weeks lockdown.

We are forward planning with the expectation that this will be extended.

We continue with safety measures we have already put in place, for our people, business, whanau, friends and community, and need to provide our services differently to you.



As we all adjust to the Covid-19 lockdown we are required to take action to assist in limiting the spread of Covid-19 and we are doing this by limiting staff/customer exposure by only dealing with essential services.

This means dealing with immediate threats to human health and safety.

(eg. re-establishing water heating and supply, clearing blockages, fixing bad leaks, and other emergency and urgent work that we will assess on a case-by-case basis).



Examples include:

Repairing or replacing a hot water cylinder if it has failed
Unblocking sinks, toilets and shower wastes
Unblocking and/or repairing waste water pipes
Repairing or replacing leaking water pipes
Repairing and replacing broken spouting leaking inside
Fixing gas leaks, piping, fittings and appliances.


If we need to attend your property, it is important that our customers and tenants advise us immediately if they, or any of their household have any health events or risks associated with Covid-19.

This will ensure we are able to adequately prepare for the job at hand.

You will need to stay at a distance of at least 2 metres from us while we perform our work.



All non-essential and non-urgent work will be postponed - but you can call us to book it in for when we come out of lockdown.

Examples include:

The repair of minor leaks
The replacement of tap washers
Toilets running on
Routine servicing
Replacement of sanitary fixtures that are working
Quotes for kitchen, bathroom and laundry renovations.
We have closed our physical office until further notice to ensure we comply with the government directive.

As a result of this afternoons announcement from the Prime Minister and the government, we are required to take action to assist in limiting the spread of Covid-19. We continue with safety measures we have already put in place, for our people, business, whanau, friends and community.

For us, the change in alert from level 2 to level 3, and the transition to level 4 over the next 48 hours means we need to provide our services differently to you, our valued customer.

We will do this by:

Limiting staff/customer exposure by only dealing with essential services. This means dealing with immediate health and safety risks (eg re-establishing water supply, clearing blockages or urgent work on a case-by-case basis).

All existing non-essential and non-urgent work will be postponed, (eg. renovations), including quoting on new work for the next four weeks, until we have further direction from the Prime Minister and government.

We have closed our physical office until further notice to ensure we comply with the government directive.

If we need to attend your property, we ask our customers and tenants to advise us immediately if they, or any of their household have any health events or risks associated with Covid-19. This will ensure we are able to adequately prepare for the job at hand and will be on a case-by-case basis.

Got a call in the weekend to a blocked sewer drain. After clearing the blockage, a CCTV inspection was carried out. We located the cause of blockage.....a newly installed conduit had penetrated the owner's sewer drain. We were able to mark out the exact location and depth of the issue and provide the CCTV footage to the company responsible, who arranged repair of the drain and payment of our invoice.

No cost to our client!
