Another beautifully completed solar install by the Solar Studio team.

You know that feeling when you buy an EV and suddenly your power bill starts creeping up?

Then you install solar, and all of a sudden your household running costs start heading in the right direction.

This is exactly why we love designing solar systems around how people actually live. EV charging, everyday power use, future savings, and a home that works smarter for you.

Bespoke design. Real results. Installed to last.

Meet Harry, our Lead Solar Installer at Solar Studio.

Harry grew up in Waikanae Beach and has recently returned home to the Kāpiti Coast after five years working in Christchurch’s renewable energy sector.

With a strong electrical background across new builds, renovations, commercial and industrial work, Harry brings a well-rounded skill set to the team. Over the past five years, he has specialised in solar, battery systems, hot water diversion, EV charging, and larger commercial installations.

Harry takes a huge amount of pride in the quality of his work and is passionate about delivering solar installs that are not only technically sound, but tidy, efficient, and built to last.

You're a star Harry, we are so happy to have you on board!

Some epic shots of the team installing solar at The Douglas Links Golf Course last week. ⛳

Commercial solar is a smart way for businesses to make better use of their roof space, reduce ongoing electricity costs, and gain more control over future energy use.

This system has been designed around the site, the load profile, and the way the business operates, because commercial solar needs to stack up properly from day one.

Great work from the legends on site!

⚡ We’re heading to Electrify the Capital! ☀️🔋

We’re excited to announce that Solar Studio will be exhibiting Electrify The Capital.

If you’ve been thinking about solar, battery storage, or simply want to understand how you can make better use of energy in your home, come and have a chat with our team.

At Solar Studio, we don’t do one-size-fits-all.

Every system we install is designed by qualified electricians around your home, your energy use and what you want to achieve — because good solar is about much more than putting panels on a roof.

Come and see some of the technology we work with, ask us all your solar and battery questions, and learn what you should actually be looking for when investing in a system for your home.

The team on site today working through another solar installation, and as always, it is all in the details. From the set-out and roof work through to the cable runs, safety checks and final finish, every part of the install matters.

Great work legends. ☀🔋

Theo, Harry (Our Solar Lead) and I had a fantastic time at the SEANZ Conference last week, connecting with others in the solar and energy industry and hearing about the latest developments shaping New Zealand’s energy future.

It was a great opportunity to learn, share ideas and come away with fresh insights and solar solutions we can apply at Solar Studio. The industry is evolving quickly, and events like this help us stay informed and continue delivering well-designed, high-quality solar solutions for our customers.

A big thank you to SEANZ for another epic event. To all the legends we met along the way, let's go - this is our year!

I know I’m biased, but the care, attention to detail and precision that goes into every solar installation our team do is something I am so proud of.

There’s so much more to a quality solar install than simply putting panels on a roof. It’s the planning, the workmanship, the tidy cable runs, the little details you might never notice, and making sure everything is done properly from start to finish.

Our team genuinely takes pride in their work, and I think it shows. We’re not interested in rushing through installs or cutting corners — we want to leave every job knowing we’ve installed a system we’d be happy to have on our own homes.

Pretty proud of this crew and the standard they continue to set. ☀️
