It was great to see the ladies night kit back out on the field yesterday!

Today we're excited to announce the initial Buller Heartland Squad for 2026! 🦁

Congratulations to all players selected. Being named in the Heartland environment is a fantastic achievement and recognition of the hard work being put in week after week across our clubs.

The work starts now, with the squad coming together for the first time on:

Great news for female rugby on the coast! Welcome Natalie! 🙌

Buller Rugby is excited to welcome Natalie Baker to the Coast as part of a new collaborative role between Buller Rugby Union and West Coast Rugby Union focused on growing and supporting women and girls rugby across the West Coast. 🙌

Originally from the North Island and now relocated to Greymouth, Nat will be spending her time across the Coast to help strengthen female rugby pathways and participation.

Nat is a graduate of a Bachelor of Health, Sport and Human Performance, majoring in Sport Development and Coaching, and is passionate about female involvement in sport, rugby development and creating positive experiences for players both on and off the field.

Nat also brings experience from her role on the Manawatu Rugby Union Women and Girls Advisory Board, where she has contributed to participation, retention, inclusive programmes and practical solutions to improve the female rugby experience.

We’re looking forward to having Nat involved in our community and can’t wait to see the impact this role has across the Coast. If you see her around the sidelines or at your club, make sure to say hello and give her a warm Coast welcome!
