Got 45kg LPG bottles at home? This video is for you!
One of our customers recently came to us with a frustrating problem — they were going through a 45kg LPG bottle in just three weeks! 😳
We checked the gas system, serviced the appliances and tested for leaks — everything was operating as it should.
So where was all the gas going?
🚿 The shower!
We tested the flow rate by filling a bucket: • Old shower rose — 8 seconds to fill • New efficient shower rose — 15 seconds to fill
That might not sound like a big difference, but the old shower rose was using around twice as much water.
More hot water = more gas being used. 🔥💧
We replaced the shower rose with a more efficient option, which should significantly reduce the amount of hot water being used — and therefore help reduce LPG consumption.
If you're burning through your 45kg bottles faster than you think you should, don't automatically assume you've got a gas leak. There can be some surprisingly simple causes!

A blocked wastewater drain line from a pump chamber can cause some expensive problems if it's left too long.

Some common signs include:
• Your wastewater pump has recently been replaced but has failed again due to overheating from a blocked discharge line.
• The pump chamber is slow to empty or stays full for longer than normal.
• Gurgling drains, unpleasant odours, or wastewater backing up around the property.

If the outlet line is blocked, the pump has to work much harder than it should. This can cause it to overheat, shorten its lifespan, or fail completely.

We can locate the blockage, inspect the pipe with a drain camera, and clear it using professional drain jetting equipment to get everything flowing properly again.

If you've noticed any of these signs, it's best to get it checked before it turns into a bigger and more expensive repair.
