We're incredibly proud to announce that The Mantles has officially been selected in the Top 100 Homes in New Zealand for the 2026 Registered Master Builders National House of the Year Competition.

To be recognised among the country's finest residential projects is an achievement we're extremely proud of, particularly in a competition that showcases the very best Master Builders from throughout New Zealand.

The Mantles is a home that reflects everything we stand for at Hardy Construction: quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, thoughtful design, and a commitment to delivering homes that our clients can be proud of for generations to come.

What makes this recognition even more special is our journey. Hardy Construction is approaching 10 years in business, and in that time, we have entered the Registered Master Builders House of the Year competition just three times, 2023, 2025 & 2026 Remarkably, all three times we have been selected in New Zealand's Top 100 Homes, a testament to the standards our team sets and the pride we take in every project we build.

This achievement belongs to more than just our company. It is the result of an incredible team effort. Thank you to our client for trusting us with their vision, our dedicated Hardy Construction team who take pride in every stage of the build, and the talented architects, suppliers and subcontractors who helped bring this project to life.

Making the Top 100 nationally means The Mantles now progresses to the next stage of national judging ahead of the Master Builders National Awards Gala in Auckland this November.

No matter what happens next, we're immensely proud to see a Whanganui-built home be recognised on the national stage once again.

Award-winning homes aren't built by chance. They're built through hard work, accountability, attention to detail, and a team committed to excellence every single day. The Mantles is a testament to exactly that.

What an unforgettable night for Hardy Construction!

The Special Judges' Award is presented to just one home that the judges believe stands apart from the rest – recognising exceptional craftsmanship, innovation, attention to detail, and a truly unique build. To receive this award is an incredible honour and a testament to the dedication and skill of our entire team.

The Mantles challenged us to think differently, and the result is a home that is as striking as it is beautifully crafted. We couldn't be prouder of what has been achieved.

A big week for two of our team!

Congratulations to our apprentice Jayden on his selection for the Whanganui U21 Rugby Wider Training Squad!
Congratulations also to our university holiday "muscle", James, on his selection for the Taranaki Development Squad.

Well done, Joe!

Congratulations to Joe on completing the final assessments for the Master Builder Apprentice of the Year Award.

After a site visit and panel interview, he now awaits the results, which will be announced on 27 August 2026.
